About
Hi, my name is Carlton Gill and I am a Business Strategist with an MBA in Entrepreneurism. I use QuickBooks and Excel as tools to take your business beyond just the reporting requirements to where you have a plan to make your business a success. Every number tells a story. So I also create engaging content around numbers, including articles, blogs, budget justifications, business plans, eBooks, financial reports, LinkedIn posts, proposals, training manuals, white pages, ghostwriting projects, and more. I ALWAYS over-deliver! Selected accomplishments include: • As a newly hired CFO, I used the Class-Tracking feature in QuickBooks to show the CEO that two of his retail locations were draining the company of $25,000 per month. We closed those locations and used the resources to develop a new supply-chain line that increased sales by over 71% in 18 months. • I showed a client that she was eligible to switch from accrual to cash method accounting and produced cash-basis financials from QuickBooks. She was able to save over $15,000 in taxes. • A non-profit organization had no accounting system in place after the departure of the former CFO. Within six months, I not only set up QuickBooks and entered current and previous transactions, but I also set up the accounting and administrative procedures to keep the system in place after the completion of my assignment. • As a court-certified expert witness, I analyzed over 10 years of accounting data, comparing the data with QuickBooks files, and prepared reports for the court that reduced my client’s $30 million judgment down to $3.2 million. • I used QuickBooks data to create budgets and forecasts in Excel to include them in business plans I wrote in response to RFPs for the San Francisco International Airport. My client, a woman-owned minority startup, won two bids valued at over $3 million. • Amazon Best Selling author for the book, “From Resume to Work.” Let me know how I can help you and your business. Please feel free to contact me anytime. I look forward to helping you turn even the smallest amount of chaos in your business into something that you can grasp in one hand. Thank you. Carlton
