Carmen is an independent consultant, based in Erbil, Iraq, with a background in peacebuilding and education. Most recently, she was part of the United States Institute for Peace’s Iraq team, where her duties consisted of monitoring, evaluation, and learning tasks, as well as monthly reporting for the project donor, documenting progress, milestones, and potential challenges. Her areas of consulting expertise are: report and policy writing; data synthesis and analysis; programmatic evaluation and support; and translation. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree through SOAS’s online program in Sustainable Development.
