I am a Legal Documentation Preparer. My goal is to obtain a Litigation Paralegal position in a law firm as an Independent Contractor, where I can utilize my legal research knowledge, and strengthen my legal creative skills in preparing legal briefs, and motions.
I have an Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies with an ABA-accredited Paralegal Certification from Austin Community College. Currently, I am seeking employment opportunities with a successful firm where I can establish a long-term career as a Paralegal and flex my inherent talents for document management, legal research, and litigation skills.
In 6 years during my career, I have had the opportunity to aid and support attorneys on a wide range of topics. In addition to having an in-depth knowledge of legal principles and terminologies, I am adept at doing legal research, analyzing, and organizing information, and preparing case materials. I am proficient with computers and have comprehensive knowledge about relativity software relevant to the job, including LexisNexis research, Westlaw, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
I can work alone or with a team, depending on the need. I have both Trial and Pre-Trial Litigation skills. I pride myself on my ability to remain self-directed and focused in a fast-paced work environment. If given an opportunity, I am sure I will be able to make a positive contribution to your firm.
