We provide affordable academic and cultural programs for french-speaking immigrant children ages 3-18 In Greater Philadelphia, Princeton and Allentown, to maintain their high level of fluency in French, and offer them a better chance to study in college. PhilaFLAM is part of the FLAM program launched and supervised by the French government.
Our organization contributes to maintaining the maternal language and cultural heritage of immigrant children. We also support the development of bilingualism in the Greater Philadelphia area. We offer weekly academic lessons, and a few times in the year, extra-curricular activities to enhance their knowledge of the francophone culture and history.
We firmly believe that education can dramatically improve the social and economic outcomes for all children and that access to a high quality and rigorous education is a right for all children, regardless of background. This is why we have always been proud of offering a very affordable education in French, creating the highest possible levels of francophone education, for the minimum of budget we have available.
