• Managing all Fibre Build sites (300) through Altech for Gauteng Provincial Government
• Manage and assign sites to the five sub-contractors who were contracted to Thlolo who would arrange for site visits
• Complete site surveys
• Complete the site survey reports
• Site design documents and submit for approval
• Meeting with the systems architect and decide which sites will become fibre, microwave or wireline after receiving the sites from the client.
• Load the co-ordinates in Google Earth and map the shortest route to the fibre supplier considering geographical constraints, using their KMZ file. This site is then handed over to the sub-contractor.
• The sub-contractor will then draw up a Site Design document with photographs of the route and distances, road crossings etc. It will come back to myself for approval before sending to the fibre supplier for approval. This is done as they will have mapped manholes where the breakout will be done. It is usually 2-5 meters from their manhole.
• Once they have approved it, the sub-contractor submits with the scans to the wayleave company, to apply for a wayleave.
