Hey there! I'm Deborah. I'm a native English speaking teacher from Ireland, living and working in Spain. I have over 10 years experience, teaching all ages and levels. I have worked in Taiwan, Ireland and Spain. Please go to my Linkedin page for student recommendations.

In recent years I have concentrated on teaching exam preparation and business English to adult learners, but I also give fun, interactive classes to children. My students would tell you that I give a lot of corrections and feedback. I like my students to learn and progress. Book a trail lesson and see my teaching style first hand! I collaborate with EF English first and 1to1Progress, as well as working with private students. I'm available for individual or group classes on Zoom or Skype. I focus on building my student's confidence, so they can express themselves more fluently. I do this by expanding their vocabulary, paying attention to grammar, sentence structure and pronunciation. For exam preparation, I spend a lot of time teaching the structure of a good answer, emphasising linking words, paragraphing etc and then practicing sample questions until the student is comfortable conversing on many typical exam question topics. In business classes, I focus on role plays, practicing how to give opinions in meeting, how to give an effective presentation, interview preparation etc. I also encourage general conversation classes, where the learner can gain confidence talking about everyday topics. This is very useful for students who wish to improve their conversational skills for work events and socialising with colleagues and clients. Each student receives a personalised after class report within 24 hours of each lesson, both one to one and group classes. A recommendation from Azra, an Iranian student living in the US.
