Designed a business development framework that outlined all strategies that were to be implemented and developed in the company. The framework developed had a business development strategy, a well detailed marketing plan, a comprehensive sales program and a smooth client relationship management and communication. This boosted our customer retention and increased sales in the company by 75%. Increased and built our brand as reliable tax consultants and accountants. I pushed out our brand to as many clients as we could have and this put us in a proper marketing position ahead of some of our competitors. Brand building was key for the company as it increased our client base by 80%. Tapped into the social media market for most of our clients. Introduced a new product on our catalogue of social media and digital marketing for our clients. Through social media platforms like Facebook, twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, among others. This boosted their outreach and in turn boosted the company’s revenues. Introduced a new product as well of website designing and development for our clients. Most of the companies don’t have websites yet that is the first form of marketing. In my marketing team, we started out the campaign of building interactive and responsive websites for our clients. This increased our revenue as we diversified from core services of tax consultancy, accounting and in turn increased the company’s revenue by 40%.

Prepare and organize the company’s books of accounts and send through the financial statements for approval by the Group accountant in Dubai. Prepare a weekly cash flow statement for the branch and send it in for approval to HQ in the UK. The weekly cash flow prepared included receipts and payments like the petty cash for the branch operations. This was integral for our operations. Reconcile bank transactions on the accounting cloud software XERO weekly. These transactions needed to be reconciled on a weekly basis so as to clear all branch outstanding on the system. The reconciliations were always done in order to prepare for audits. Prepare invoices for completed jobs and time sheets as well and send them to the clients as and when the engineers got done. This would leave me the job of delivering the invoice and follow up on the subsequent payments. Prepare a weekly debtor’s schedule that showed all the receivables from our clients. The aged receivables were followed up on and I made sure payment would be remitted when the client said they would commit. File tax returns including VAT monthly returns, PAYE, NSSF and organize for income tax returns and all statutory payments were made on time. This exposed me to the tax planning and advisory services. Prepare quotations and proposals for new leads and opportunities and follow up on the jobs to make sure we make a sell. Make site visits to make sure the jobs done and certificates issued after training are still valid and if not, then organize for the subsequent trainings and recertification.
