About

Hello, my name is Emma and I am an Italian freelance translator, proofreader and editor. My work language combinations are EN (UK) >IT and DE>IT. I have a Master Degree in "Literary and Critical Translation" got by Pisa University and a MA in "Translation Studies" got by the University of Portsmouth (UK) through a distance learning program. I have been working as a freelance translator since 2011. I have translated and proofread several story books and non-fictional titles for children, for a total of more than 50 books! I have also translated and proofread travel books and music articles for grown-up readers. I have been recently starting working as a freelance editor too, helping authors improving their works. It is a new and exciting challenge I am very glad to face! Given my passion for foreign languages,working in the publishing, especially in the editorial and translation fields has proved to be what I have always wanted to do. I really love literature and children's books! I love working in a team, but I am also able to work alone. I am highly organized and can prioritize assignments. I always respect deadlines; I would define myself as flexible, open to new challenges and willing to learn the most from every job.
