About

My name is Helen Kingate, 22 years old and I've been drawing and designing since i can remember. In July 2022 i successfully completed my Bachelor of Arts Study at the ecosign / Academy for Design. There I gained experience with 2D animation, comic and children's book illustration, storyboarding and character design. In the process I strengthened my skills with traditional drawing media as well as learning digital illustration and animation with Procreate, Photoshop and After Effects. During my studies I learned to support and justify my work with substantial research and in depth conceptualisation. Due to the constructive feedback culture at ecosign I am able to accept criticism, implement it and also communicate purposeful feedback. Working so closely with my peer students has made me an open-minded team player and I'm always curious for new techniques and programs. You can find samples of my work through the following links:
