About
I am a Linux system administrator with a year and counting experience with beginners level python programming language. Also, I have taken a course on AWS cloud practitioner essentials. I am a hard and smart worker, a team player and a fast learner as my resume can testify that. My work interest is to do better and eventually be a senior system architect. As per my strong sides, I will limit it to time management skills, project management skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and the willingness to learn.

• Install and configure Redhat/CentOS (versions 6, 7, 8, 9) Linux on virtual environment. • Working knowledge of virtualization (Oracle and VMWare). • Create files and directories at user and root level. • Linux file system management. • User account management. • Limit user account privileges by configuring sudoers. • Setup and administer user and groups accounts along with setting permissions for users. • Password management. • Utilize pipes to manage output, use of commands on a terminal. • Monitor users’ activity. • Create processes and schedules. • Log and Monitor systems using commands. • Write basic shell scripts. • Manage OS network. • Managing, installing, and upgrading software packages using YUM and RPM. • Manage DNS, NTP, patch management, etc. • Implementation and Integration of NTP for time synchronization (ntp and chronyd). • Experience with logical volume management (LVM), analyzing the disk usage and create disk partitions. • Limit user account privileges by configuring sudoers. • Schedule various regular, periodic, future and queue tasks by using crontab. • Install and configure SSH key-based authentication. • Use help commands for fast and efficient reference (man, whatis, -help) • Everyday use of filters and text processing commands (cut, sort, grep, awk, uniq, wc) • Keep the system secure by monitoring user activity through secure log messages and tools such as who, last, etc. • System management using commands (top, df, dmesg, iostat, netstat) • Setup aliases for ease of management • Manage OS network (ping, ifconfig, netstat, tcpdump, etc) • Installed and configured LDAP servers to authenticate between Linux, Apple and Windows environments. • Firewall(iptables/firewalld) • Run containers (podman)
