Coming from a background in the international banking industry in The Netherlands, I settled in the mountains of Colorado where I led the customer service department for a local payment processing company before moving into sales.
In 2011, I found my own consulting firm; OPS, Ltd., with which I established close partnerships with financial institutions throughout southwest Colorado.
In 2017 a client introduced me to their partner; startup company Skipti. Working with a strong energizing team was a natural fit and a career change was made.
I was VP of Operations at Skipti starting in 2018 and transitioned into the role of QA Test Lead in 2021. Unfortunately the start up lost their funding which led to me taking on a role as Banquet Captain at Purgatory Resort.
I am always looking for a new challenge. Having been called “eagle-eye” in my past team, I am known for my keen eye for detail while being able to juggle many tasks at once.

Banquet Captain / Server / Bartender
For Purgatory Events I was the Banquet Captain that ensures that events run seamlessly, providing excellent service to guests while managing the team effectively by coordinating with the event sales team, banquet staff, kitchen staff, event coordinators, and guests.
Served as the primary liaison for event planners and the sales team, facilitating a clear understanding of each event's specifics—such as layout, seating and meal assignments, and timelines—while also coordinating communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service, timely updates on food preparation, and the proper accommodation of allergy needs.
Staff Management: Scheduling, supervising, and coordinating the banquet staff. Assigning duties and ensuring everyone understands their roles during events.
Point of contact for guests, addressing their needs and ensuring a high level of service throughout the event.
Overseeing the setup of the venue before the event and managing the breakdown and clean up afterward.
Ensuring that food and beverages are served promptly and meet quality standards, handling any issues that arise during service.
Addressing any unforeseen issues, such as staffing shortages or guest complaints, to maintain a positive experience.
In addition to my role as Banquet Captain, I also served as a bartender and server at the Durango Mountain Club at Purgatory, a private club that offers fine dining, as well as Purgatory’s restaurants Paradise Pizzeria and Dante’s.
