• Mrs. Irene Akhigbe holds a First Degree in Sociology from the Edo State University (1991) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the same University. (1999). She has over two decades of diverse skills and experience across the Financial, Banking and Educational sectors. • Irene currently heads the operations department of a property development and investment company. • Preceding her latest position, she was the head of Administration/Human resources department of a school. She played a vital role in re-branding the school by redesigning and implementing personnel policies that are people centered; resulting in 90% retention of staff and a 50% reduced cost in recruitment. She was also involved in the school’s acquisition of membership status with international organizations ensuring the Quality Assurance Standards are upheld. • Prior to working in the educational sector, Irene commenced her working career in the Financial Services Industry, actively participating in the money market; where she developed relationships with High Networth Individuals and Corporate organizations. • In the Banking industry, she traded in the interbank market and was instrumental in the management of the bank’s treasury bills in addition to funding Commercial papers issued by blue chip companies.
