I’ve always loved problem-solving, helping, and teaching people. While working in human services, I used these skills on a daily basis to teach job skills to people that were diagnosed with developmental disabilities and acute mental illness. But I still felt like I was able to do more. So, I began exploring code and software development. The more I learned, the more passionate I felt about them. Software development provides me with the opportunity to combine my love of problem-solving with my passion for helping others in order to create solutions that help people on a larger scale and with more creativity than I ever could in human services. I can’t wait to grow these skills and build solutions that allow me to help more than one person at a time.
