About

I am a freelance illustrator based in Japan and the U.S. My specialty is children's book illustration, character design for animation, editorial illustration, product design, web animation, and app design. My clients include Google Books, Nickelodeon, MTV Networks, Oxygen Media, Google, Costco, Homegoods, Time Out New York, New York Press, Interviews, Mademoiselle, Cosmo Girl!, Boston Weekly Dig, Anna Sui, to name a few. I work mostly in digital for illustration and animation and also use traditionally for gallery work. I have illustrated a picture book, "Young Yogi and the Mind Monsters," for Atmosphere Press. I am currently working on a picture book commissioned by Google Books. I have written and illustrated several children's books, and one of them I have made into an interactive picture book app. I've also done numerous editorial illustrations for magazines.
