Currently as Office/Base Manager I am responsible for ensuring the operation runs smoothly and efficiently. This includes being responsible for renewal of licences, insurances, inspections, and any other legally required paperwork. I use the accounting system Xero in my day-to-day work for finances and MS Excel to keep records of spending per department allowing accurate budgeting and forecasting of outgoings. I have streamlined the filing and record keeping in the office to a more logical system making information easier to find.
Working as a researcher for a recruitment company built upon my communication skills, developing strong, trusting relationships with both the candidates and employers. I was responsible for arranging initial screening meetings by phone and then subsequent interviews both in person with the prospective employer and virtually, most commonly using MS Teams and Zoom.
Previous to this I have worked as a Freelance Virtual Assistant for various companies providing essential administration support. I have always been a highly organised worker and am able to manage my time effectively which is so important when in a remote working position. As is being able to be part of a team and the wider company which I felt I have achieved in previous roles. I enjoyed and adapted well to remote working, and this is something which I am keen to return to.
