I am in charge of all email communications and ensuring efficient communication between the doctor and her patients. This means constructing emails in a formal manner.
As the receptionist, I ensure that all payments are made on time. Working with the payments, I thus have to do light book keeping in order to keep track of the income and expenses of the practice.
I am in charge of making all appointments, pertaining to patients needing an appointment and personal appointments for the doctor herself. This allows me to daily further develop my telecommunications skills.
In terms of filing, I develop forms for the clinic. Handling the files demands that the files be systematically sorted, both physically and digitally.
Regarding stock, my previous shop management position helps me to easily keep track of the stock and put through orders when and where necessary.
My daily admin requires me to use Microsoft Office for invoices/receipts, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office PowerPoint to keep track of the clinical data.
Data entry is a big part of my position as we create digital records of all the patients, frequency of patient visits, location census and more.
