About

Hola, I'm Mateo! Colombian born, I've been living in Sydney for the past 3 years. When I meet new people, often they will say, "I don't know why I'm telling you this." This is because I love listening and understanding people and have done ever since I was a child. Back in Colombia, when I was faced with the difficult decision of choosing my studies; Law or Psychology. I picked law (thanks to Boston Legal, my favorite TV show). During my studies as a lawyer, I learned that when finding a solution to a problem, every solution must be supported, and every act must be justified. Now, as a UX designer, I put this learning into practice every day. Every solution that is presented for a problem must be based on research. What's more, I get to use my greatest strength, my empathy, to understand users' needs. What is working with me like? Fun - I'm a glass-half full guy and even in challenging moments, I know how to make those around me feel good. Pragmatic - I stay calm under pressure and am decisive in prioritizing the most pressing tasks. Collaborative -I value everyone's opinion and am skilled at coming up with solutions that best integrate everyone's needs
