In first, I would like to refer to my deep experience in working within M&E Department and Project & Program Department. I worked for three years as a M&E Officer in the Five organizations I previously worked in [Yemeni Women Union (YWU), International Youth Council -Yemen (IYCY), Qatar Red Crescent Society – Yemen Mission (QRCS), Humanitarian Forum – Yemen (HFY), PERCENT Corporation for Polling Research]. I have worked within a lot of humanitarian projects/programs implemented by these organizations as referred in my C.V. In addition, I assumed this position and have been assigned permanently and repeatedly to carry out multiple tasks in all areas under the responsibility of the M&E Unit and the Project & Program Unit. In my close reading of the core functions/responsibilities of the incumbent who will have the honor of winning this position, I have not found any task that I have not accomplished before during my work tenure. From here, I would like to convey to you my pure belief in my eligibility and ability to assume this position, and even to innovate and contribute to the development under the M&E Dep. and Project & Program Dep.
During the periods of my works within Program & Project Department and M&E Department, I have used several systems, the most prominent of which are: OCHA: CBPF Grant Management System (GMS), QRCS: Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP), WHO: Surveillance System for Attacks on Health Care (SSA), OCHA: Humanitarian Tracker, UNHCR: ActivityInfo, WHO: Yemen Health Information System (HIS), Sample size calculator by RaoSoft.
One of the most prominent examples is the implementation of an external consultation for the purpose of preparing an "Impact Evaluation" for the Dignity Kits Distribution (DKD) activity. This was a major challenge for me, as this activity falls within the context of targeting girls who survive sexual violence (GBV cases). In addition, the implementation of "Impact Evaluation" is very rare in Yemen. All of this made it very difficult to develop tools and forms for data collection and analysis. I worked hard to prepare this study, which has been very successful and accepted by the donor (UNFPA).
Previously, I worked as Project & Program Committee Member, who assigned to assist in preparing the Concept Notes / Project Proposals for donors under the Project & Program Units/Departments as:
- Key staff at 4 NGOs: (QRCS, HFY, YWU & IYCY).
- External Consultant at 6 NGOs: (BFF, LMMPO, PCF, DEEM, YGUSSWP, & Direct Aid).
In addition, I work as Project Assistant within the Project and Program Committee where I participated in assisting in writing planned proposals, ensuring smooth implementation of YWU projects plans and related arrangements, identifying needs and feedback to the projects management, assisting in activities planning alongside the projects, collating and analyzing project data, assisting in reporting on the projects as required by the various funding organizations and bodies, conducting field assessment & case studies and other duties assigned by the supervisor/management.
I also bring to the table strong computer proficiencies in SPSS, KoPo, ODK, MS Word, MS Excel. In addition to this experience, I hold potential capability in making a detailed study of the organizational needs and offer you the communication and problem-solving skills you are seeking due to the daily workload.
