I have over 10 years of experience working as a chartered accountant. I obtained my chartered accountancy designation after completing my undergraduate degree in commerce and passing all levels of the CA exams.
Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in various areas of accounting such as financial reporting, auditing, tax compliance and planning, business advisory services, and accounting systems implementation. Some of the key aspects of my professional experience include:
- Preparing financial statements and reports for a variety of private companies in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards. This involves activities such as financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations.
- Advising corporate and individual clients on tax planning strategies and compliance with income tax, sales tax, payroll tax, and other tax regulations.
- Leading audit engagements for public companies listed on the local stock exchange, ensuring adherence to auditing standards and securities regulations.
- Providing business advisory and consulting services including financial modeling, budgeting/forecasting, internal controls review, and process improvement recommendations.
- Overseeing the implementation of accounting software systems and training of client personnel on their use.
