While working as an associate at Amazon, I was trained in many areas of the building to fulfill shipments. My main role while working at Amazon has been to oversee associates as they empty carts from the trailers. This role was given to me as a step up to a leadership position just 3 months after working in the facility. Throughout the day, I respond to the ship dock clerk through radio to which trucks are coming in with carts. I then instructed the associates on which trucks to work on and ensured that they were finished in a timely manner. I then reported back to the ship dock clerks when the trucks were completely empty. As I only needed to oversee the associates, I was also responsible for ensuring that there were no damaged or misplaced packages on the lines.

As a Walmart cashier I had the responsibility of handling the cash register, ringing up sales, and the processing of payments such as bill payments, money transfers, and credit card applications. It also involved applying discounts and scanning coupons. As new sales were happening everyday, I also had the responsibility of keeping up with any promotions that were happening within the store. If any customers had questions, I answered them to the best of my ability or always looked for a coworker who was more knowledgeable on the subject to help. I always made sure the customers came first and my consistent good reviews that was left always reflected my excellent customer service. As I was also a supervisor for the produce department, I had the responsibility of overseeing the associates to ensure various tasks were completed such as cleaning, organizing, and stocking the shelves throughout the day. My most significant accomplishment while working here has been my continuous promotions in leadership within the company. Overseeing those older than me has allowed me to gain confidence within my words as I speak.

While my time was short, I was always praised for my continuous hard work and determination to finish the job to my fullest ability.

As a crew member at AMC Theater, we were required to make sure that the theater was properly cleaned at all times. My main role in the theater became customer service at the concession stand as I rung up customer orders and prepared the food. I would also pitch and sell the membership that we offered. Selling memberships became one of my best accomplishments at the theater as I was always able to be the highest seller for the membership throughout my crew. Since the theater is always a high paced work environment, I had to make sure that the customers were serviced quickly without feeling rushed.
