I am currently a grade R Aftercare Teacher. I have 6 years experience of working with children. I am currently studying to complete my degree while still building on my knowledge.📖 My teaching philosophy is to make the content I teach more relatable. In many cases, when a students can’t identify with the material, it’s harder for them to gather meaning. As a literature teacher, my goal is to help students empathize with characters, places and concepts, especially when those things are different from their own life experiences. As a student myself , I found stories more memorable when my teachers helped me draw parallels so I now incorporate it into my planning aswell. I have completed a 120-hour TESOL certificate with the World TESOL academy. ✔️ As well as my Higher certificate in Education ✔️ My hobbies include some tennis in my spare time 🎾 some occasional reading 📖and spending quality time with my family 👨‍👩‍👦.
