In addition to data, I have experience developing social media strategies for small businesses in the Mississippi State University area. Throughout my senior semester of undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to collaborate with classmates, developing inventive content strategies to captivate a larger audience for Beard’s Antiques and Furniture in Columbus, Mississippi. My roles specifically included creating recommendations for the business's brand language, developing audience personas, and researching social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook to establish guidelines on how to utilize each platform to attract more customers effectively. Recently, I have developed an interest in graphic design, where I have learned how to use and optimize Canva, creating logos, slogans, and designs for close friends and family members with small businesses.
In addition to the classroom, I am a student-athlete who was a member of the Track and Field team at Mississippi State. I have had the opportunity to meet and develop relationships with people from different national and international backgrounds. My athletic experience opened the door for me to participate in the Student-Athlete Development program, where I served as a Track and Field representative for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Here, I worked cross-functionally with student-athletes from different sports, learning how to develop effective leadership skills. My athletic experience led to the development of my website, which consists of blog posts and narrative decks discussing my experiences as a student-athlete and my passion for track and field.
Overall, through every experience, I have solidified my interpersonal, listening, and creative skills. I have been recognized as an extremely cooperative and empathetic individual who perseveres under pressure. Working in diverse environments with people from different backgrounds has given me the confidence as a self-starter to be collaborative and display strong leadership.
