My name is Sami Khan and I have ten years of professional diversified experience with NGOs/INGOs in the field of education, peace, governance, research, child protection, SRHR, gender and women's rights. Over this period I have developed expertise and skills in areas such as communications, coordination, management, implementation, reporting, presentation, liaison, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Development.
Management:
I have worked on different managerial positions, among which was the management of a large team during relief and recovery phases in conflict-affected areas i.e. SWAT and FATA and across the country. In the recent tenure of professional career, he has successfully implemented a peace project in Hyderabad, Sukkur, Multan, Gujrat, Mardan, and Peshawar. As part of the managerial duties, he equally managed the developing of ideas and the implementation of those ideas.
Training:
I have worked as a Master trainer on peace-building and countering violent extremism, Revitalisation of Education for girls in areas like newly emerged of Northern KP. I have also been part of training programs in Nepal for Early Child Marriage, under the auspices of Amsterdam Institute for Social Science and Research (AISSR). That platform exposed me to huge and rare opportunity, I did not simply acquire necessary soft skills but was trained by some of the world-renowned trainers as well. I also have been part of the Training team in Dubai, where the hospitality management course was taught for quite enough time. Khan has been a Trainer with Dubai Municipality for 2 years.
Research:
I have both academic and organizational research experiences. Hence conducted research studies during my MPhil studies and also been part of data collection teams in research projects at the International Islamic University and Association for Behavior and Knowledge Transformation. Khan conducted small scale research and monitoring reports for the organizations he worked for. Technical report writing is his strong footy.
