I have nine years experience in project coordination at Non Governmental Organisations. I was responsible for overseeing the planning, implementing and monitoring of several behaviour change projects. My experience encompasses coordination of project implementation through sub-contracting and/or collaborating with both private entities and local Non-Governmental Organisations. During my tenure as a Project Coordinator, I developed comprehensive implementation plans with clear and measurable targets, reporting and monitoring tools to track project progress and ensure success. One of my main responsibilities was to provide technical assistance and support to implementing partners through mentoring and provision of supporting materials to enhance the project outcome. I have a comprehensive understanding of the grants management cycle. At the Ministry of Health and Wellness one of my duties is to facilitate funding of projects meant to combat alcohol abuse from the Alcohol Levy Fund. I manage contractual agreements, including negotiating budgets, ensuring timely and accurate technical and financial reporting. I am a Secretary to the Alcohol Levy Implementation Board, which guides the management of the Alcohol Levy Fund. I have also manage a multimedia edutainment program, where my duty was to manage the development of effective health communication messages using the medium of radio, print and television. I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; I am highly organised, self-motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking.

I coordinated the implementation of the Go Girls Initiative (GGI) which aimed to reduce the girls’ vulnerability to HIV infection by addressing contextual factors that present barriers to accessing education; increasing girls resilience through building life-skills; strengthening parents’ and other adults’ ability to communicate with and support girls; and encouraging community dialogue and action. The project focused mostly on mobilising the community to create an enabling environment for girls to thrive and change their behaviour.
