Sunday Jerome Salami is a graduate of Social Sciences (BA Hons), a transnational education program delivered by Glasgow Caledonian University and the African Leadership College in Mauritius. He is passionate about research within the social sciences, but more specifically, research on education equity and the economic growth of marginalized people. He strongly believes that access to quality education for people is crucial to improving upward social mobility and consequently, impacting communities and improving people's standards of living. Content Strategist and Social Media Manager
- Led efforts to develop a fully integrated marketing communications plan and team, growing the marketing team from one to three members. - Curating and creating marketing content for the organization’s social media pages which increased brand awareness and boosted audience engagement by over 60%. - Reached out to 58 donors to contribute to our mission of providing scholarships to African youths to help solve the issue of lack of access to education by economically marginalized students. This resulted in a 41% turnover. - Read, evaluated, and graded scholarship applications of 83 young Africans from across the African continent requesting scholarships for their undergraduate studies. 16 of them have been selected for funding and we are currently raising funds for these 16 scholars. - Started a fundraiser and have currently raised over $4000 to enable potential young African scholars to have access to higher education.
