Nov 2020 – Jul 2021
Cyprus/Limassol
Head of Development
At TTCM I was head of development managing 4 different projects, ranging from PHP based CRM systems (Sugar/Suite) to real time trading platforms built on top of 20+ internally created micro services. Besides from applying Scrum, using CI and CD from Azure, I’ve touched upon technologies ranging from C# and Solace in one end, to PHP and Angular in the other end. Within 2 months of starting, we profiled the existing code base, and me and my team had been able to optimise the backend and frontend parts of the codebase by 3,200% in regards to throughput and scalability performance. The systems are in daily use by thousands of traders on 3 different continents, ranging from China and Brazil at one end, to UK and Cyprus in the other end. Although I had management responsibilities here, I spent at least 75% of my time creating code, which was a prerequisite for me accepting the job when it was offered to me.

AmDocs
Jun 2020 – Nov 2020
Cyprus/Limassol
Architect
At AmDocs I had responsibility for following up on 6 developers, in two different teams, working with their online media streaming platform team called “Vubiquity”. During my time there, I segregated a monolithic Git repository and Azure Pipeline into 5 different sub projects, and I used technologies such as CosmosDB, Azure, CI, CD, Server Less, etc - In addition to coaching and following up on my developers. At AmDocs we used Agile and Scrum methodologies, and I was on a team with their best architects internationally having biweekly sessions with the group CTO (responsible for thousands of employers in almost every continent on the planet). I left because my former manager from IronFX offered me a job as his Head of Development.

Owner
This was my own company where I provided consulting services, mostly to one Norwegian company, where I was creating communication tools for deaf and illiterate people, based upon symbols and pictures, translating these into text, further using speech synthesis, translation services, and speech recognition to allow these to communicate, with literally anyone on the planet, using “pictograms” and images as their “alphabet”. Technologies used were MySQL, C#, ASP.NET, etc. The system was based upon Phosphorus Five, which is a “web operating system” I finished in parallel, allowing for rapid web application development.

Entrepreneur
This was a startup I originally started in Norway, but later moved to California on an E2 Visa. The idea was to create a web application framework for rapid application development, using “declarative programming idioms”, to significantly reduce complexity when creating “web apps without huge scalability and performance requirements”. Among other things, I created my own completely dynamic programming language, based upon direct modification of the “execution tree”, that would allow for dynamically installing web apps, during runtime, without affecting the rest of the system. I wrote 3 MSDN articles about the system, which were my first 3 articles for Microsoft. During most of this period I also consulted for a whole range of different companies, ranging from architecting the platform currently in use by one of the largest hospitals in the world, to teaching and tutoring developers in .Net Framework and helping them become certified developers on the .Net stack.

Gaiaware AS
Sep 2004 – Aug 2008
Norway/Porsgrunn
Entrepreneur and CTO
This was my first startup, and we were actually in discussions with Microsoft to obtain us for a period, due to that we had an Ajax technology built upon WebForms, that the top researchers at Microsoft themselves spoke about in public as “The method Microsoft should have used to create ASP.NET AJAX”. Microsoft of course, as we all know, decided to focus their entire efforts at Silverlight, and hence Gaiaware slowly perished, and ceased to exist.
