My profesional background is as sociologist. In 2016 I received my undergraduate degree from the Colegio Mayor Nuestra Señora del Rosario, in Bogotá. Prior to my degree, in 2014 I committed with social causes and I created my own organisation: The Muskua Foundation. In 2018, I received my posgradute degree in cultural management, in order to get closer to cultural issues and the change potential that culture has.
I developed a wide range of skills while working as a researcher and analyst in the Direction of Research at the Colombian Well-being and Family Association PROFAMILIA. Profamilia, the most important non-profit organisation that advocates the realisation of sexual and reproductive health and rights.
During my time in Amsterdam I have been exploring different possibilities, worlds and working spaces in order to take advantages of the multiculturalism and globalisation that this city has to offer. In this sense, not only I have gain experience in the cultural and educational background of the city, but also in management and project management.
I am capable to design, analyse and implement my own qualitative research studies in the field sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender studies, inequalities, assessment of social policies and vulnerable groups.I realised I have gained a robust understanding how to apply effectively research tools and mixing research methods to address social problems.
