Summary: Bhaskar, an award-winning journalist and author, is university merit scholar, did his masters in science from Patna University and joined The Times of India, Mumbai as Trainee Journalist. Has successfully edited national and regional dailies with an unblemished record of quality performance spanning over decades. At present, he guides students of mass comm for higher studies and was briefly associated with British Council, as an invigilator for council’s international examinations. Completing the course in working towards child safe organisation was a pre-requisite for association with the examination system. Has also worked with a large diplomatic mission as Senior Editor-Information and has attended specially designed Information Studies Programme at Central Office of Information (COI) and Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) London, UK. Is presently engaged as freelance Linguist and Editor with Language Connect International, and, has worked as consultant for CARE and, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Bihar, and did the content conversion for the entire content on Family Planning and Reproductive Health (about six modules running into 500 pages). The content is used for training of ANMs and, other rural health workers.

Has wide-ranging experience across various media platforms and till recently led the 100 members (editorial and technical) strong team from the front as Editor-in-Chief of Kashish News, Ranchi, Jharkhand (24/7 sat-based news channel). As editor was responsible for developing highly sustainable information architecture which could withstand cutting edge competitions and ensure wide outreach. Before Moving to Kashish, was associated with Hindustan, Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd. Patna as Editor- Special Projects. Hindustan has the strong brand presence in Bihar having 75 percent market share and is driving force behind HMVL and HTML (previously known as Hindustan Times Group) - an Indian media conglomerate.
Joined British Information Service (BIS) and took over as Senior Editor in British High Commission, New Delhi. Besides Managing the day-to-day affairs of the information section was also responsible for ensuring that influential Indian opinion is aware of the nature and extent of the British aid to India and the diplomatic mission have a friendly press in the national capital Delhi and the other state capitals. While there, he reviewed B.B.C. broadcasts in India on behalf of British Govt. for its content and audibility. Moved to U.K. for Information Studies Programme at Central Office of Information (COI) and Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) London.
