As a principal administrator (Gender and disability) i; • Audit Gender and Disability reports on compliance within the secretariat and teachers nationally • Focal point on matters gender, child protection and disability in regards to the teaching fraternity and secretariat staff • Initiate investigations on matters pertaining violence against a child by a teacher • Keep under review existing policy guidelines • Identify issues that require change, propose modifications, discuss, formulate and test approaches or processes and prepare the related policy papers for review • Dis-aggregate data by gender, age and disability amongst staff and teachers and by region (urban high potential and hardship areas) • Provide operation support to the Recruitment and Administration functions on matters touching on disability • Strengthen Partnership and Resource utilization • Carry out training needs assessment • Facilitate trainings • Consult/negotiate with partners on behalf of the Commission on matters Gender, child protection and disability • Advise senior management on administrative issues and gender concerns within the teaching fraternity.
