About
I’m Solène, aka the Sherlock of words. Since 2016, I’ve been helping my international clients solve their language cases from English and Italian to French (France and Switzerland). My mission: put bad translations and poor communication behind bars, once and for all! To achieve this goal, I have several weapons at my disposal: - Excellent translation and communication skills o I’m graduated from Aix-Marseille Université with a Master’s degree in Professional technical translation. o I’ve been working as a freelance translator since 2016, with no delay and always great feedback from my clients. o I’m proactive and ask the questions I need answers to, so that the project runs smoothly and that no information gets lost. - A large underground networks of informers o I’m part of the SFT, Société française des traducteurs, the French professional association for translators and interpreters (www.sft.fr). o In 2018, I created La Linguistiquerie, a collective of freelance translators and interpreters (www.linkedin.com/company/linguistiquerie). Together, we talk about business tips, terminology, job opportunities, project management, soft skills, and we tackle large projects for common clients with short delivery times while ensuring terminology consistency. o I’m in contact with lots of professionals from my translation specialities, ready to answer any question I may have. - Great professional tools o For translation, I own SDL Trados Studio and Multiterm 2019 (soon 2021) and use (but don’t own) XTM, Polyglot, Memsource, Amara, and Captionhub (licences provided by my clients). o For file sharing, I use Google Drive, FileZilla and Dropbox. o For project management, I use Freebe (quoting, invoicing, time tracking and time management), Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Slack. o For communication, I use Slack, Outlook, Skype, Meet and Gmail (and of course, WhatsApp and calls if needed). If you have any question, I would gladly answer them via email, chat or phone. I look forward to hearing from you!

La Linguistiquerie was created in 2018. First an informal chat group between former university friends, we are now a collective of freelance translators and interpreters working in various languages pairs. Together, we tackle large and/or urgent projects for common clients, while ensuring consistency in style, terminology, and quality. Need a great team of professionals for your content?
